Las puertas de tierra
Cádiz Province
The city of Cádiz is one of the mostly densely populated urban areas in Europe. The etymology of the word 'cádiz' dates to the Phoenicians, their word gadir meaning 'wall, compound.' The city seems not to have changed much since the medieval times due to its location in the water, which is also the reason for a decline in population in this old city because it is impossible to increase the amount of land available for building.
