Huelva fútbol

Huelva, Spain

The Huelva futbol team is the oldest of Spain, Recreativo de Huelva. This city is in the province Huelva and is the site of many Christopher Columbus sites, such as las tres carabelas, or his three ships--La pinta, La niña, and La Santa María. Christopher Columbus is known as Cristobal Colón to the Spaniards, but is actually of Italian nationality. He spent time in Huelva, researching and putting together a plan to gain support. He finally received financial support from Queen Isabel and King Ferdinand.
